Fly To The Sky’s “You You You” repeats as No. 1 this week with another high score. This song scored a win on KBS Music Bank last week and was the only song to rank consistently among the top from all our chart sources. Congratulations!
Just below “You You You” is the duet track “Your Scent” by Gary and Jung In, moving up 20 spots to No. 2. This is not the first collaboration between the two artists as Jung In was often featured in Gary’s group Leessang’s songs before she became a solo artist. This song was written by Double Sidekick, who once again has multiple top 10 hits on our chart this week. “Your Scent” is a R&B track with vintage laid back feel tailor made for Jung In’s vocal and Gary’s rap. It is a song that expresses basic human love despite busy and hectic daily lives. “Your Scent” won on Music Core last week despite no scheduled performances.
There are three other new songs in the bottom of the top 10. Moving up 11 spots to No. 8 is Baek Ji Young’s latest hit “Still In Love.” Her “Fireworks” went to No. 5 just last month. “Still In Love” is an emotional ballad with poetic lyrics written by rapper Suho. Baek Ji Young’s husky voice is a perfect fit to this song.
Moving up 22 big spots to No. 9 is “Eternity” from VIXX. This song is about a man who understands he lost the woman he loves but dreams that he can be with her for eternity. VIXX picked up their first ever music show win last win on SBS Inkigayo, and they also won on Show Champion this week. They are certainly a rising male group to look out for.
4men’s Shin Yong Jae has the last new top 10 entry, up 18 spots to No. 10 with “You Whom I Love.” This is the last song written by late high school student Lee Da Woon, who was one of the victims in the Sewol Ferry Accident. Lee Da Woon was a big fan of Shin Yong Jae, and his family contacted the singer to produce and sing this song and he immediately agreed. The proceeds from this song will be donated to the students at Da Woon’s school.
